Swim Test Details
Beach lifeguard swim test: 500 meters (550 yards) pool swim in under 10 minutes.
Suggested items: swim suit, swim goggles, swim cap, towel, water bottle.
Pool lifeguard swim test: 300 yards pool swim, continuous, not timed.
Suggested items: swim suit, swim goggles, swim cap, towel, water bottle.
Run Test Details
Beach run test - 1 mile treadmill run in under 10 minutes:
Suggested items: running shoes, active wear, change of clothes.
Pool run test - No run test is required for pool lifeguard employment.
Orientation Details:
Informational meeting with an A.L.A Officer:
Orientation will be hosted in a group setting after the swim/run tests conclude to best utilize your time.
