OVERVIEW

Private Clients / Public Clients - No operation is too large, or too small. A.L.A is prepared to serve any beach in Monmouth County or Ocean County, from beach clubs, beachfront homeowner associations, condos, to bids on public access operations. Our operations scale with the unique needs of each client.

Our Ever-Growing Crew - While our lifeguard services are seasonal, our “off-season” is spent preparing for summer via building professional relationships with local swim teams, EMS dispatches, first aid certification centers, schools, and much more. These year-round efforts mean our crew consists of only the best suited to the unique position of ocean rescue lifeguard each season.

In-House Certifications - Too often aspiring lifeguards have trouble finding the required certification classes to qualify for surf rescue or pool lifeguarding. A.L.A affiliates with LifeForce USA, one of the top 5 first aid training centers in the US. We offer only the best training programs such as through the American Red Cross, A.H.A, and A.S.H.I.

LIFEGUARD SERVICES

Beach and Pool Management - Structuring an efficient lifeguard program is key to a safe, successful summer. Details such as the appropriate number of lifeguards to manage each swim zone, appropriate hours of operation, daily equipment storage locations, etc all contribute to how a lifeguard operation will operate. We create a unique operation for each client to ensure the best service possible.

On-Site Geofence Login Areas - A precise virtual geofence is created around each separate station, where A.L.A employees clock in/out using the A.L.A GPS payroll system, which only allows clocking in/out within the physical area of their assigned station. This both ensures employees are paid for every moment of their time, as well as timely arrivals and departures.

Equipment Offerings - A.L.A is partnered with the highest quality rescue equipment suppliers in the industry. Reliable rescue equipment is essential for lifeguards to fulfill their duties. Whether helping replace items owned by the client, or offering rental equipment, A.L.A makes it easy to acquire the necessary equipment required for every operation.

DETAILS MATTER

Detailed Weather Radar + Marine Reports - Aviation-grade radar is used to monitor local weather conditions in order to prepare for local incoming storms before they arrive, keeping our crew and patrons safe. Direct NOAA reports are used to predict surf conditions throughout the day and week, allowing us to prepare accordingly.

Weather Related Schedule Alteration Emails - Upon inclement weather affecting the scheduled operating times of lifeguard service, an email is sent to all affected clients regarding the altered lifeguard schedule that day, for instance during an opening delay due to a passing storm. You’ll never be left wondering, communication is key.

Live NJDEP Water Quality Map - A daily updated NJDEP Map is checked each morning to assure no hazardous water conditions exist in the area such as high bacteria count, medical waste findings, and algal blooms. For example, after heavy rain, it is not uncommon for shoreline bacteria counts to spike, making water entry unsafe, A.L.A lifeguards adjust operations according.

ABOVE AND BEYOND

Equipment Maintenance and Storage - Every client is offered to have A.L.A collect all lifeguard equipment upon the conclusion of our lifeguard service, make all needed repairs in our workshop, and neatly store everything in one of our fully insured, inland storage units until redelivery next season. This facilitates a smooth opening next season by ensuring all equipment is ready to go from day 1.

Pelican Medical Kits - A.L.A clients may choose to purchase the A.L.A custom built medical and oxygen kits. These items are long term solutions to the challenge of maintaining sensitive medical supplies in the harsh environment of the beach. With our beach-proof kits all lifeguards have access to EMS grade medical equipment to address any emergency. These kits have a lifetime warranty with Pelican, and are restocked regularly free of charge.
